    PALESTINE : PALESTINIAN PROTESTERS CLASH WITH ISRAELI POLICE

    About 500 Palestinians were heading to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, where a Greek Orthodox, Patriarch Irineos I, who is suspected of selling Greek Orthodox Church land to Jews in the Holy land.
    Israeli police apparently tried to disperse the crowd, using clubs and wounding people, as reported by some eye-witnesses.

    IRAN : NUCLEAR DEAL FAILED BETWEEN IRAN AND EUROPE

    The negotiation between Iran and Europe has reached a dead point,

    The informal talks have concluded. No conclusions were reached and both sides, the EU three and Iran, have agreed to go away and reflect on what was discussed and to continue the discussions in future," said a British Foreign Office spokesman.

    Talks will probably continue after the elections in Iran has a European diplomat speaking in condition of anonymity said,

    IRAQ : EXECUTION OF SIX SUDANESE

    Six Sudanese drivers executed in front of a camera and posted on internet, an al-Quaeda affiliated group of abductors. The six victims were able to speak and indentify themselves in the video. They said they were working for the Jordanian al-Daud.

    IRAQ : A SERIES OF CAR BOMB KILLS 20

    Seven car bombs exploded in Iraq killing 20 people and wounding 65 this morning. in the al-Adhamiyah district the bombs were aiming Security Forces and the army.
    Four bombs exploded in the capital killing at least thirteen people.

    PALESTINE : ABBAS THREATS TO USE VIOLENCE

    Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has announced he will not hesitate to use violence against anyone who will brake the cease fire with Israel.

    "We have to give them a calm departure," he said.

    Abbas is strugelling in trying to reach a complete and definitve agreement with the resistance fighters.

    IRAQ : A GENERAL KILLED

    A General and a lieutenant killed before the Parliament voted the new government.
    Major-General Muhsen Abd al-Sada, was assassinated on Thursday in the Dura district.
    Police Lieutenant-Colonel Alaa Khalil Ibrahim was killed by unknown armed men.

    IRAQ : ROMANIAN KIDNAPPED REPORTERS HAVE MORE TIME

    Prima Tv, the Romanian news channel was reached by a phone call made by the kidnappers thart was threating to kill the journalists unless their government decides for a pull-out from Iraq.

    "About three hours ago I received a call from Iraq ... our colleagues want us to put pressure on the government to take a decision [on the troops]," said Dan Dumitru, Prima Tv news director.

    SYRIA : COMPLETE PULLBACK ACCOMPLISHED

    In a letter to the United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan, Syria's military formally announced its full withdrawal from Lebanon.

    "The Syrian Arab Republic wishes to formally notify you that all Syrian military and security forces deployed in Lebanon went home today to Syria after carrying out several deployments in recent years." said the statement, adding that,

    "The Syrian government assures the Security Council that the prompt implementation by its troops of Resolution 1559 is based on Syria's commitment to respecting the UN charter and its resolutions."

    SAUDI ARABIA : INCREASING OIL PRODUCTION

    Saudi Arabia is going to increase oil production from the current 11 million barrels per day to 12,5 mbpd. The decision was taken after a meeting in texas between president Bush and the Saudi leader Prince Abd Allah bin Abd al-Aziz Al Saud.

    The Last Syrian soldiers are leaving Lebanon after 29 years of occupation.

    LEBANON : SECURITY CHIEF RESIGNS

    Jamil al-Sayid, resigned from his job of Security chief just some hours before the last Syrian troops and military intelligence is leaving the country. He wrote in a letter that the political environment was changed,

    "Security chiefs are usually appointed with politics and change when it changes."

    "I am honored to request that my services be terminated and that the resignation is accepted."

    IRAQ : AP CAMERAMAN KILLED

    Saleh Ibrahim was working as a cameraman for the Associated Press, nearby al-Yarmuk surroundings when he was hit on the back of the head by some bullets. Apparently a gunfight began just after an explosion when Saleh and his colleague, Mohamed Ibrahim, where close-by. The dead journalist was in his early 30s, as al-Jazeera reports, Iraqi police did not interfere with what happened due to the presence of US military that will investigate.

    PALESTINE : ABBAS IS CHANGING ARMY LEADERS

    Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is changing some key positions in the security forces, naming new leaders and getting rid of Arafat's old men. Many of the oldest officials are forced to give up, as the age limit is now 60.

    "Today they are giving a wonderful new example by the smooth and civilised transfer of responsibility and authority," said an Abbas official.

    IRAQ : TWO CAR BOMBS IN TIKRIT, SIX KILLED

    At least six people died and 26 were wounded this morning in Tikrit when two car bombs exploded. The first bomb blew off around 8 am in the morning outside a police academy, the second one was heard some minutes later close to another army building.
