IRAQ : SEVENTEEN PEOPLE KILLED IN BAGHDAD EXPLOSIONFour US citizens were among the victims saturday's explosion in Baghdad.
As a foreign security convoy passed by a busy intersection a car bomb exploded, killing sventeen people and wounding more than thirty.
"According to the latest toll, there are 13 Iraqi civilians killed and four foreigners whose bodies were completely charred," said an official.

PALESTINE : FATAH WINS LOCAL POLLSThe Fatah movement headed by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has largely won municipal elections in the occupied territories. According to Firas Iari, responsible for the electoral commission, the Fatah movement has won 59.9% of the votes while Hamas won about 33.3%.

PAKISTAN : Al-QUAEDA'S MAN ARRESTED Abu Faraj al-Libbi, a Lybian native suspected of collaboration with al-Quaeda was arrested on Tuesday morning by the Pakistani Security forces. He is probably responsaible for the December 2003 bombing against the Pakistani President Musharaff which killed seventeen people, leaving the President alive.

TURKEY : SCHROEDER CALLS FOR DEMOCRATIC REFORMS IN TURKEYGerman Cancelor Gerard Schroeder has urged Turkey to move ahaed with several democratic reforms to fit the European community. Schroeder also wants the christian communities in Turkey to be better considered and welcomed.

IRAQ : US SOLDIERS KILL 12 IN A RAIDAccording to a statement, six US soldiers were wounded in clashes close to the Syrian border on Tuesday. The document says they were involved in a unfight against al-Quaeda suspected members. The soldier followed a truck untill the town of al-Qaim where a gunbattle started.
"Before the occupants in the vehicle could reach their destination the commander of the operation decided to interdict the vehicle; upon stopping the truck, the suspected insurgents opened fire on Coalition forces," said the statement.

EGYPT : 200 PEOPLE ARRESTED AFTER SATURDAY'S CLASHESEgyptian police forces have arrested more than 200 people in the Shubra al-Khaima district, as a result of Saturday's clashes that killed three people and wounded 10.
