IRAQ : US HELICOPTER DOWNEDTwo american soldiers were killed when their helicopter was downed near Baquba on Thursday. Another helicopter which came under fire with the downed OH-58 Kiowa, safely returned at the base.
"Coalition forces responded to the scene and secured the site," said the statement, claiming the incident to be under investigation.

PAKISTAN : BOMB KILLS 20A terrible blast hit Islamabad, the Pakistani capital, at 11.20am (0620 GMT) on Friday, at the Bari Imam shrine, killing at least 20 people and wounding 150.

IRAQ : ZARQAWI DOES NOT HAVE A SUBSTITUTEAn Internet statement has denied on Thursday that the Iraqi al-Quaeda did not named a deputy for Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.
"The information section of the al-Qaida Organisation has its own media outlets known to Muslims, which is the name Abu Maisara al-Iraqi," claimed the statement.

AL-ZARQAWI WOUNDED?"O nation of Islam ... Pray for the healing of our Sheikh Abu Musab al-Zarqawi from an injury he suffered in the path of God," this the statement found on the internet that claims one of the public enemies for the US to be wounded.
"You are the beloved of the mujahidin (holy fighters), and may God heal you and make you steadfast ...," continued the statement.
On the other side, a US spokesman said that there was nothing official about this all issue,
"We have no information on whether he's wounded or what the state of his health is. He's still our number one target to be captured or killed and until that happens, the hunt is still on."

IRAQ : CAR BOMBS AND ATTACKS; EIGHT KILLED AND ELEVEN WOUNDEDAccording to the Associated Press, eastern Baghdad's Withaq Square in the Alwiya residential area was rocked by a car bomb on Tuesday. The explosion killed six people and damaged several buildings as well many cars parked nearby.
Another car bomb exploded close to a police patrol in Baghdad, killing two and injuring at least eight people.

IRAQ : SEVERAL KILLED IN MANY ATTACKS A Kurdish leader, a leading political aide and two US bases were targeted by the insurgents across Iraq, many people were wounded and killed.
According to the police, a car bomb exploded south of Kirkuk killing at least five people and wounding 18 others.
Two groups of armed men killed a top aide to Iraqi Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari's cabinet and his driver in Baghdad, police said.
Three bombers also attacked an American military base in Mosul wounding three US soldiers, and killing two Iraqis.

EGYPT : OPPOSITION LEADER ARRESTEDMahmud Izzat, Secretary-General of the Muslim Brotherhood, was arrested on Sunday along with 11 members of the opposition party.
The Associated Press reports that Izzat was picked up in dawn sweeps, carried out in several provinces.
"The arrests, practised by the government to terrify us, would not change the Muslim Brotherhood group's determination to continue demanding people's right to freedom,"
said Mohammed Mahdi Akif, the guide of the group.
