    According to the police an Iraqi judge was shot dead by armed men,while he was leaving his house in eastern Baghdad, on Tuesday.

    Judge Qais Hashim al-Shammari found his death in a roadside ambush along with his brother-in-law.

    Fighters already killed Baghdad's provincial governor, and the deputy of police chief recently, in an attempt to stop the elections.
