Resistance fighters drove a car bomb into the Police headquarters in Baji killing at least 10 policeman and eight Iraqi soldiers at a checkpoint, on Monday.
In another attack on Monday, fighters were attacking polling stations with mortars and gun-rifles.
They killed a security guard and exchanged fire with US troops triyng to protect a school designated to be a polling station.
According to Al-Jazera, in Ramadi, three civillians were killed and nine others injured during clashes, started after a car bomb exploded targeting a US military patrol and the United States headquarters also came under gunfire in the city, yesterday.
